How to textile stick the suspended ceiling?

Time:2022-05-23 Views:3874

If your ceiling looks a little old, drab or damaged, cover it with
textile stick to give it a new look. You can apply fabric to the ceiling in a variety of different ways, including starching or stapling.

Heavier fabrics, such as upholstery fabrics, often do not hold the ceiling as securely as other thinner types of fabrics such as cotton or clear materials. In this case, many large factories will need to choose Acoustical Ceiling Tile Textile Stick Machine to textile stick the suspended ceiling.

The following is the basic operation process of textile stick the ceiling tile at home:

1. Use a tape measure to measure the width and length of the ceiling. Add four inches to the width and length measurements to determine the amount of fabric needed to cover the entire ceiling with fabric.

If you want to belt your fabric, measure the room diagonally from corner to corner. Divide the measurements you get in half. Add this number to the original length to determine how long to cut each sash.

2.  To cover the entire ceiling, fold the raw edges of each side of the fabric. Stick it in place with a glue stick or other adhesive that won‘t penetrate the fabric. Hold one corner of the fabric against the ceiling in the corresponding corner of the room. Nail the fabric to the ceiling.

Continue stapling along the edge of the fabric until both edges are finished. Pull the fabric taut and add staples about every one to two feet to the ceiling to hold the fabric in place and prevent it from sagging. Staple the other edges to finish the ceiling.

3. Fold a piece of belt fabric in half. Use a tape measure to find the exact center of the room. Pin the center of the fabric at this location. Fan out each side of the fabric to create a waistband. Nail the end of the fabric to the ceiling as close to the wall as possible.

Glue it

1. Clean the ceiling with a damp sponge to remove dust or grime. Let it dry.

2. Measure the width of the ceiling. Determine if you need more than one length of fabric, most fabrics are 45 inches or wider.

3. Measure the length of the ceiling. Cut the fabric to this length.

4. Use the hot glue gun to apply glue to the ceiling and fabric one at a time. Smooth out the fabric on the ceiling. Continue this process until you have all the fabric attached to the ceiling.

If desired, use thumbtacks or pins to hold the fabric in place while the glue dries.
